Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a DC RN license and specialized certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma center with a focus on maternity and obstetric care
• Night shifts (4x12 hours) from 19:30 to 08:00
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Clinician will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Patient charting uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos EMR systems
• Scrubs are provided to staff
• Parking is available for a fee, or public transportation options are easily accessible
• Must adhere to the hospital’s policy of one requested time off (RTO) per contract
• No on-call requirements for this position
• Expect collaborative work alongside a multidisciplinary team
• Staff will float within scope to meet facility needs

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active DC RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Must have been separated from previous employment at this hospital for at least one year if returning
