Job Description: Credentialing Specialist

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for facilitating all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointments, reappointments, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers as defined by corporate policies, procedures, and hospital bylaws.

This role requires the use of the MDStaff credentialing software system to perform, track, and monitor all credentialing activities while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity. The Credentialing Specialist is also responsible for interpreting and maintaining compliance with all applicable accrediting and regulatory agency requirements, as well as developing and sustaining knowledge of relevant statutes and laws related to credentialing.
