Here’s another edition of my latest obsessions. A very happy Friday to everyone! If you have any suggestions, I’m looking for my next book to read!!
After reading Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl, I knew I had to check out her other two novels. I just finished Dark Places (literally less than 10 minutes ago) and I’m split between being sad that the book is over and utterly shocked at the last 50 or so pages. No spoilers, but if you enjoyed Gone Girl, you’ve got to check out this book. Libby Day was seven-years-old when her family was brutally murdered. She testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer and he’s sentenced to life in prison. Twenty-five-years later, she is approached by members of the “The Kill Club,” an organization comprised of individuals obsessed with famous murders. Libby agrees to track down different people from her past in exchange for money from the Kill Club. Many doubt that her brother is guilty. Her investigations lead her to question what really happened the night of the killings. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down.

I now own three generations of Lulu bikinis and I am yet to be disappointed. When I got the email that this season’s swim line had been released, I immediately drove to Lululemon. I tried on every style and settled on the Surf To Sand Sport Top and Surf to Sand Bikini. Since I haven’t been running much lately, I’ve been hitting the pool for swim workouts three times per week and my new bikini has been getting used quite a bit. I’m happy to say I’m 100% pleased with my investment. The swimsuit fits me perfectly and gives enough coverage that I feel comfortable wearing it during workouts. It hasn’t faded or stretched at all and is “wicked” flattering on the booty 😉 The line tends to run a bit small so I’d recommend trying them on in the store before you purchase!
Running with Tourette Syndrome

This Huffington Post article is a must-read. As if I didn’t love running enough already. Amaris Tyynismaa is a 14-year-old superstar runner. She credits running with her ability to beat Tourette Syndrome. I don’t want to give too much away, but this article really displays the power of running and its impact on the human body.
Lokai bracelets seem to be popping up everywhere. Allow me to provide a little background about them. Each bracelet contains elements from the lowest and highest points on the earth—mud from the Dead Sea and water from Mount Everest. It is meant to remind us be to hopeful in times of struggle and humble when things are going well. A simple, yet powerful reminder that life is about balance.
Game of Thrones
OK – I know I’m late to the game (like 4 years late), but WOW. Isn’t that the beauty of binge watching! After finishing Friday Night Lights, I needed something new to watch and reluctantly decided to give Game of Thrones a chance (after my friend Otto wouldn’t stop bothering me to watch it). I didn’t think it would appeal me given that I’m more of a soap-y show lover but the pilot hooked me. I’m just about to finish season 2 and I urge you to start this show if you haven’t. You won’t regret it. It has it all – suspense, violence, sex, great story-telling, and some gnarly plot twists! #GoodByeSocialLife
