My First Blog Post and Something That Will Change Your Life

So I’ve been thinking.  I love reading blogs.  Especially when they’re about people’s lives.  So I’m going to write blog posts about my life.  You may choose to read them or you may choose to ignore.  Although I’m not sure why you would want to miss out on my wit, charm, and bizarre tangents.  Just saying.

First random tangent… I walked to Starbucks this morning for coffee and discovered something terribly disappointing and I’m not going to lie, it really put a damper on my day.  Starbucks raised their prices!!! My grande drip went from $1.95 to $2.10.  THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY! RUDE STARBUCKS! RUDE!

I also came across this wonderful piece today.  10 Ways to Eat Cookie Dough That Will Change Your Life.  I was skeptical when I first saw it but it’s legit.  My favorite idea is the stuffed oreos.  How have I not thought of this before? #GAMECHANGER

Later today I had my first really long (let me think this is long I know they are going to get longer) brick workout.  90 minutes on the bike followed by a 45 minute run.  I bought a bunch of different types of fuel and ended up trying these Powerbar Chews and they were pretty good.

Okay, they weren’t remarkably delicious but I could stomach them much easier than Gu.  I was actually pretty surprised with how well I held up during the 45 minute run.  My knee started giving me problems at 35 minutes, but I changed my pace and managed to finish strong.

I was going to take a picture of my face but I don’t want to subject you all to that. Then I went home and proceeded to consume approximately 1000 calories of sushi.  Because there is no better way to refuel than with sushi.

Now I have… a blister the size of Texas on my toe (TMI?), chafe-age on my chest from my heart rate monitor (double TMI?!), and a burn on my hands from my handlebars.  OMG I LOVE IRONMAN TRAINING!!!!
