Banana Chocolate Sundae


Ingredients (yields two servings):

  • 2 frozen bananas, chopped
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbs chopped, roasted almonds


  • Peel banana and chop into small chunks
  • Freeze for at least 2 hours
  • Microwave chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for ~1 minute (or until chocolate begins to melt)
  • Remove bowl and stir chocolate
  • If chocolate is not completely melted microwave for another 15-20 seconds
  • Remove and allow to cool
  • Blend frozen banana chunks in a food processor (or pulse in a blender) until smooth
  • Serve immediately, topping with chocolate sauce and almonds

ProTip: Once you’ve blended the bananas, you can add some peanut butter or Nutella to the food processor and mix until smooth.  Or add some of your favorite ice cream toppings! The possibilities are endless!
